These guidelines are written to offer simple rules of conduct and a perspective into what Diggit values (or does not).
The community will not tolerate content that fits into the following categories.
- Spam
- Illegal
- Pornographic
- Bullying
- Bigotry or Discrimination
- Just Plain Bad
It's the responsibility of members to use good judgement when participating in the community. To protect the community and its members, Diggit may remove content posted with poor judgement, or remove members who repeatedly demonstrate poor judgement.
For the sake of healthy discource, it's asked that all members extend grace, interpret generously, and assume that others have good intent when participating. To be fair, Diggit also Assumes Good Intent when it comes to moderation.
Members are encouraged to share things that are exciting to them personally, even if it means sharing minutiae. When members are talented, celebrating small wins, small launches, or other bits of work is incredibly interesting and also makes for a more positive community.
There's already an excess of free, bite-sized cynicism, hot takes, and pitchforks. Diggit is an opportunity to build a place that rejects content intended to create outrage. Serious topics are appropriate, as long as they follow rules 1, 2, and 3.
